Last Christmas ...our family celebrated our reunion we my Aunt Jewel and Thel. Uncle Thel has been struggling with his Diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. the Alzheimer's disease has really taken a toll on Aunt Jewel too. She said, I just can't leave him alone for long before he walks off the property, and gets "lost" or gets into things and doesn't remember what he is trying to do. I just hope he doesn't forget members of the family before modern medicine can find a cure. As Aunt Jewel said, these are definitly are not the "Golden Years," they had hoped for. Christmas season was extra special having them with us.
