Bishop Nance's family and my girlfriend May's family invited us to a lake picnic. Ben swam across the lake and back with mom. For once mom wore the Ben out with a half mile swim. Bishop Nance's son, Chris, have been friends, since Ben was called to work assisting with the scouts in our ward. The company the Bishop works for makes war weapon machinery in which he said, Ben's military job depends on. "I help keep him safe out there, when he needs our equipment to depend on," said Bishop Nance. Five years ago my son entered the Air Force, a shy and unsecured about himself and his future. Ben is now a changed young man, which I have to thank the military for molding his self confidence, his future, and his testimony of serving his country and the lord. "If you don't stand up to the things you believe in ....then you have nothing, and I will always fight for that," Ben said. Although Ben is not sure what his civilian job will be when he gets out of the military. He knows the military will always have offers to expand his growth, which will give him a brighter future. We are very proud of him.
